Job Description
The Senior Technical Account Manager at Jupiter Research will apply strong technical expertise, critical thinking, and customer management skills to support customer product development, ongoing maintenance, and technical issue resolution. Working closely with Sales Account Managers, this role will lead customer complaint investigations, support new product development verification, conduct on-site process evaluations, and provide internal and external technical guidance.
Responsibilities/daily tasks:
- Product & Process Quality
- Evaluate business goals, identify improvement opportunities, and apply scientific methods, statistical analysis, and problem-solving techniques to improve and sustain product quality and process performance.
- Establish, manage, and continuously improve programs, policies, and procedures that assess the quality and performance of Jupiter products and customer processes.
- Lead investigations into product defects to determine root causes and recommend corrective and preventive solutions.
- Collaborate with manufacturers to drive improvements in product design, manufacturing processes, ISO compliance, and overall quality outcomes.
- Support method development and optimization to enhance product performance and reliability.
- Customer & Field Support
- Partner with customers to provide technical support for product selection, usage, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct on-site product verification and process evaluations using mobile laboratory resources.
- Support customers’ filling and capping process verification through on-site reviews and testing.
- Prepare and present technical reports, improvement summaries, and test data analyses to internal teams and customer stakeholders.
- Product Development & Documentation
- Serve as a technical representative on cross-disciplinary project teams.
- Create and release Product Requirements, Design Specifications, and Design Descriptions for assigned new product development and product improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical support to internal and external teams regarding product functionality, design intent, and operational processes.
Qualifications: Experience, Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent specialized experience.
- 5+ years of experience in quality investigations, root cause analysis, and process verification.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- Experience with method development and optimization.
- Experience working in cross-disciplinary teams.

Work Conditions / Physical Demands:
- This position works in a fast-paced laboratory/office environment.
- Must be willing to travel at least two 2-3 day trips a month
- Must be able to sit and stand for up to eight (8) hours a day.
- This position requires light work with 50 pounds maximum weight to lift and carry.
